Questions

Can I get an image under a size limit, like 50 KB?+
Yes. Type the maximum size in KB and the tool lowers quality first, then pixel dimensions if needed, until the file fits under it - the result tells you when dimensions were reduced. If the limit is too small for that picture, you get the smallest size it could reach, with a note saying the limit was not met. Check the form's own rules too - some ask for a minimum size or exact pixel dimensions, which this tool does not set.
How much smaller will it get?+
Savings depend on the source and output settings; a smaller result is not guaranteed. WAV/AIFF compression can lower sample rate, FLAC uses lossless compression, and other formats follow their encoder settings. Compare actual size and quality.
Will it look or sound worse?+
Lossy re-encoding, lower sample rates and image resizing can reduce detail. The effect depends on the source and chosen setting, not a guarantee of visually or audibly identical output. Keep the original.
Does the file get uploaded?+
No. Compression runs in this browser tab. Nothing leaves your device.
