HOW IT WORKS
1

Drop the png image

Drag your PNG in or click to browse. It is decoded on your device, not uploaded.

2

Convert to JPG

The image is re-encoded as JPG in this tab, at full resolution.

3

Save it

The JPG downloads back to your device immediately.

Why convert here, not there

No upload, ever

Your pictures stay on your machine. Only the format changes: png in, jpg out.

Local conversion

No upload, no server queue, no waiting room. Instant, every time.

No account, no daily cap

No caps and no watermarks - the jpg is clean and yours.

The two formats, briefly

PNGPNG stores raster pixels with lossless compression and supports transparency. A decoded PNG export is not a copy of all source metadata or animation.
JPGJPG uses lossy image compression and does not support transparency. This converter fills transparent areas with white for JPG output.

When you need this

  • Convert PNG for a form or app that requires JPG. The export is lossy and transparent regions become white. Check the image and the destination size rules before submitting.

Good to know

  • Higher quality usually retains more image detail at the cost of size. JPG and this WebP export use lossy encoding; output size is not guaranteed to be smaller.
  • Check the exported image at its actual size and compare its file size before submitting it. The original file is not modified.

PNG to JPG, answered

Why convert PNG to JPG?+
Convert PNG for a form or app that requires JPG. The export is lossy and transparent regions become white. Check the image and the destination size rules before submitting.
Which quality should I pick?+
Higher quality usually retains more image detail at the cost of size. JPG and this WebP export use lossy encoding; output size is not guaranteed to be smaller.
Does converting PNG to JPG lose quality?+
JPG and this WebP export use lossy compression. Transparent areas become white in JPG. Animation, metadata and editable vector paths are not preserved; keep the source if those matter.
Is there a file size limit?+
The hard cap is 2 GB per file. The practical limit is your device: conversion runs in its memory, so very large files can fail on phones with little free RAM. There is no server-side cap because nothing is uploaded.
Does my file get uploaded anywhere?+
Never. Your png file stays inside this tab; the jpg is produced by code on your device. Its contents never leave your device.
