PNG losslessly stores the decoded raster, not the entire source file. Metadata and animation are not kept, and decoding can change color handling or precision. SVG paths become pixels; TIFF contributes its first image.
Is there a file size limit?+
The hard cap is 2 GB per file. The practical limit is your device: conversion runs in its memory, so very large files can fail on phones with little free RAM. There is no server-side cap because nothing is uploaded.
