PDF to Word

Get a PDF into an editable .docx, right here in the tab. Text keeps its size, bold and italic styling, and the PDF’s images come along in reading order. One honest caveat: exact layout - columns, decorative fonts - is approximated, not pixel-perfect.

HOW IT WORKS
1

Drop the PDF

It is opened by a PDF reader running in this tab - nothing is uploaded.

2

Text is extracted

Every page’s selectable text is pulled out in reading order, keeping font sizes, bold and italic. Images are lifted out and placed where they appeared.

3

Download the .docx

A real Word file with styled text and images, ready to edit.

Questions

Will it look like the original?+
Close, but not pixel-perfect - and no honest in-browser tool can promise that. Headings keep their size, bold and italic runs carry over, and images are placed in reading order. Multi-column pages are flattened to reading order, tables become plain text, and decorative fonts fall back to a standard one. For a pixel-perfect copy, keep using the PDF.
What about scanned PDFs?+
The tool reads them with on-device OCR (printed English and Hindi, up to 25 scanned pages). OCR is slower than normal conversion and can misread blurry scans or handwriting - check the output before relying on it. Pages where OCR finds nothing at all are kept as images so no content is lost.
Does my document get uploaded?+
Never. The text is pulled out by code running on your device - bank statements and contracts stay private.
