Knitting chart maker

Set your stitch and row counts, paint symbols on the grid, and export a numbered chart as a PNG.

Runs on your device - nothing is uploaded.
HOW IT WORKS
1

Set the grid size

Stitches across and rows up - the chart numbers itself like a pattern, row 1 at the bottom.

2

Paint the symbols

Pick a symbol and click or drag across cells. Everything stays in this tab.

3

Export the PNG

A clean numbered chart, ready to print or drop into your pattern notes.

Questions

Which symbols are included?+
Knit (empty square), purl (dash), yarn over (circle), k2tog (right-leaning slash), ssk (left-leaning slash) and a grey "no stitch" cell for shaping. These cover most charted patterns.
Why is row 1 at the bottom?+
Knitting charts are read the way the fabric grows: row 1 (a right-side row) at the bottom right, working upward. The numbers on both edges show it.
Can I fix a misplaced symbol?+
Yes - select the knit (empty) symbol and paint over the cell to clear it, or paint another symbol on top.
Does it save my chart?+
Not between visits - export the PNG when you are done. The chart lives only in this tab while it is open.
