Processed on your device - nothing is uploaded.
HOW IT WORKS
1
Drop the tiff image
Add your TIFF file - it is read by this tab only.
2
Build the PDF
The image is placed on a page and saved as a real PDF on your device.
3
Download
Your PDF saves locally, ready to send, print, or upload.
Why convert here, not there
No upload, ever
A tiff image becomes a PDF right here - the file never crosses the network.
Local conversion
The PDF is assembled locally in a blink - no upload, no queue.
No account, no daily cap
As many images to PDF as you need, free, no account.
The two formats, briefly
| TIFF | TIFF can contain more than one image and different bit depths. This converter reads the first image and exports an 8-bit RGBA raster. | |
|---|---|---|
| PDF is a page-based document format. Converting a page to a picture does not keep editable text, links or document structure. | ||
When you need this
- Put a TIFF image onto one PDF page for sharing or a portal that requires PDF. This path uses a JPEG image inside the PDF, not OCR or editable text. Check the destination size rules.
TIFF vs PDF: what changes
| TIFF | ||
|---|---|---|
| Kind | Image | Document |
| Compression | Depends on source encoding | Page-based document |
| Typical size | Depends on the file and encoding settings. | Measure the exported file; it may be larger. |
| Opens on | Check the source in your app and browser. | Check the downloaded file in the receiving app. |
| Best for | Keep the original as your source. | PDF workflows, subject to the limits below. |
Keep the original. Compare the exported file before sharing or replacing it.
Good to know
- The decoded image is embedded as JPEG at quality 0.92 on a single image-sized page. Transparent areas become white; metadata, animation and editable vector paths are not preserved.
- Only the first TIFF image is read. A multipage TIFF does not become a complete multipage export here.
TIFF to PDF, answered
Why convert TIFF to PDF?+
Put a TIFF image onto one PDF page for sharing or a portal that requires PDF. This path uses a JPEG image inside the PDF, not OCR or editable text. Check the destination size rules.
Will the PDF keep full quality?+
The image is decoded, rasterized and encoded as JPEG at quality 0.92 before it is placed in the PDF. Dimensions are retained, but pixels can change; transparency and vector shapes are not preserved.
Does converting TIFF to PDF lose quality?+
The decoded image is embedded as JPEG at quality 0.92 on a single image-sized page. Transparent areas become white; metadata, animation and editable vector paths are not preserved.
Is there a file size limit?+
The hard cap is 2 GB per file. The practical limit is your device: conversion runs in its memory, so very large files can fail on phones with little free RAM. There is no server-side cap because nothing is uploaded.
Does my file get uploaded anywhere?+
No. The file is read and converted by code running in this browser tab. Your file is never sent to a server - its contents stay in this tab.
