HOW IT WORKS
1

Drop the opus file

Drag your OPUS onto the page or click to browse. It is read locally, never sent anywhere.

2

Choose M4A and bitrate

Pick 128, 192, 256 or 320 kbps. 192 kbps is the default. Click Convert to start processing in this tab.

3

Save the m4a

The finished M4A downloads straight back to your device. Nothing touched a server on the way.

Why convert here, not there

No upload, ever

Your opus file is decoded and re-encoded by code in this tab - a song, a memo, a podcast never leaves the device.

Local conversion

No upload time for a big opus file, no server queue, no waiting on a download link.

No account, no daily cap

No daily caps, no "3 conversions left", no email wall. Convert the whole opus library.

The two formats, briefly

OPUSOPUS is an open audio codec standardized by the IETF in 2012 (RFC 6716), merging Skype’s SILK and Xiph’s CELT. It beats MP3 and AAC at low bitrates, which is why WhatsApp voice notes and Discord calls use it.
M4AM4A is an audio container. This converter writes AAC audio inside M4A, not Apple Lossless.

When you need this

  • Use M4A when your receiving app or player does not accept OPUS. This page re-encodes the audio, so keep the original and check the download in that app before replacing it.

Good to know

  • The audio bitrate choices are 128, 192, 256 and 320 kbps, with 192 kbps as the default. Lower bitrates usually reduce size but can make loss more audible.
  • First use downloads the audio/video engine (about 30 MB). The input cap is 2 GB, but available browser memory can run out below that.

OPUS to M4A, answered

Why convert OPUS to M4A?+
Use M4A when your receiving app or player does not accept OPUS. This page re-encodes the audio, so keep the original and check the download in that app before replacing it.
Which quality should I pick?+
The audio bitrate choices are 128, 192, 256 and 320 kbps, with 192 kbps as the default. Lower bitrates usually reduce size but can make loss more audible.
Does converting OPUS to M4A lose quality?+
This export uses lossy audio encoding. The source OPUS may contain different codecs or recording quality; re-encoding cannot improve the original. Compare the result before deleting the source.
Is there a file size limit?+
The hard cap is 2 GB per file. The practical limit is your device: conversion runs in its memory, so very large files can fail on phones with little free RAM. There is no server-side cap because nothing is uploaded.
Does my file get uploaded anywhere?+
No. EverywhereTrade has no server that receives files - the conversion code downloads once and runs entirely in this tab.
