Which formats can I crop?+
JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, AVIF, TIFF, and GIF (first frame). The crop downloads in the original format when the browser can write it, otherwise PNG.
Does cropping lose quality?+
The selected region is drawn to a new raster and re-encoded. JPG and WebP can lose detail; metadata and animation are not preserved. Check the downloaded crop before replacing the source.
